goKonrad’s Santorini travel blog (Greece)
Santorini may just be the most scenic place I’ve been to. Explore steep white and blue alleys, take in breathtaking sunsets, and indulge on some of the best seafood and wine in Europe.
Here are a couple quick tips you should make sure not to miss:
- Scenic Hike: Take the cliff-side and ocean-side hike from Oia to Thera. At one point, you can do a side hike toward the water to a little rock formation (close to Thira). Go to the opposite side of the rock and there is a really cool church built on the edge of the cliff.
- Waterfront Dining: Hike down the steep stairs from Oia to the little fishing dock and waterfront restaurants of Ammoudi Bay. It is the perfect place to eat a Greek salad, calamari, and saganaki while you drink Greek wine.
- Old World Books: Atlantis Books is a really cool old bookstore in Oia.
Of course, catch every sunset too. I’m not exactly a #sunset kind of guy, but it’s insane how beautiful they always are.
Also, if you have a layover in Athens (which I highly recommend doing), make sure to check out my Athens travel blog.
I hope you enjoyed my Santorini travel blog album!
